Welcome to Kronoss. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kronoss platform, including our website at kronoss.education and our application at app.kronoss.education (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
Kronoss is an online language school platform that provides:
- Online language lessons with qualified teachers
- Placement tests and speaking assessments to determine language proficiency
- Lesson booking and scheduling for private and group sessions
- Educational progress tracking and assessment reports
- Lesson package purchasing and account balance management
- Parent accounts for managing children's education
2. Account Registration
To access our Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Complete email verification as required
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Account Types
We offer the following account types:
Student — For individuals seeking language lessons. Students can book lessons, take assessments, and track their progress.
Parent — For parents or legal guardians managing their children's education. Parents can create child profiles, book lessons, and monitor progress.
Teacher — For qualified language instructors providing lessons on the platform. Teacher accounts are subject to approval and additional terms.
Corporate — For organizations seeking language education for their employees.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Users under 16 must have their accounts managed by a parent or legal guardian through a Parent account.
3. Payments and Billing
3.1 Pricing
Lesson prices are determined by the teacher and the type of lesson package purchased. All prices are displayed on the platform before purchase and are inclusive of applicable fees unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Payment Methods
We accept payments through:
- Credit and debit cards (processed securely via Revolut)
- Platform account balance
3.3 Lesson Packages
Lesson packages are bundles of lessons that may be purchased at a discounted rate. Each package specifies the number of lessons included and any applicable expiration period.
3.4 Refund Policy
Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:
- A lesson is cancelled by the teacher without rescheduling
- Technical issues on our side prevent a lesson from taking place
- A refund request is made within 24 hours of a lesson cancellation
Refunds are processed to the original payment method or credited to your account balance. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
4. Lesson Policies
4.1 Cancellation
Lessons may be cancelled subject to the following conditions:
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are eligible for a full refund or credit
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson may not be eligible for a refund
- No-shows (failure to attend without prior cancellation) are not eligible for refunds
4.2 Attendance
Both students and teachers are expected to be present at the scheduled time. Attendance is tracked for each lesson. Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions.
5. Acceptable Use
When using our Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users, teachers, or staff
- Use automated systems to access the Service without our permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Copy, modify, or distribute any content from the Service without authorization
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Kronoss platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, software, and educational materials, is the property of Kronoss or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Any content you submit to the platform (such as reviews and feedback) grants Kronoss a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Service without prior written permission from Kronoss.
7. Teacher-Specific Terms
If you use the Service as a teacher, the following additional terms apply:
- You are responsible for setting your lesson prices and availability
- You must provide lessons as scheduled and maintain a professional standard
- You agree to the platform's assessment and feedback systems
- Kronoss may adjust or review teacher listings based on performance and user feedback
- Teacher accounts may be suspended for repeated cancellations, no-shows, or misconduct
8. Parent-Specific Terms
If you use the Service as a parent or legal guardian:
- You are responsible for all activity on child profiles you create
- You warrant that you have the legal authority to provide your child's information
- You agree to supervise your child's use of the Service as appropriate for their age
- Account balance and payments associated with child profiles are your responsibility
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Kronoss is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Kronoss is not responsible for the quality of instruction provided by individual teachers
- Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Kronoss in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms or any applicable laws
- You engage in behavior that is harmful to other users or the platform
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period
- We are required to do so by law
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Any unused lesson balance may be refunded at our discretion, minus any applicable fees.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration authority in the jurisdiction where Kronoss operates.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
